CANDIDATE

Emad Bakeer

CANDIDATE FOR THE OFFICE OF

Grossmont Healthcare District, Director

NOVEMBER 2, 2010 ELECTION

2010 California General Election

CANDIDATE STATEMENT

My Dear Friend,

I am asking for your help and support. I am a candidate in the upcoming election for Grossmont Healthcare District, Director 2010. As you may already know the healthcare community is very near and dear to my heart. What we need is someone who is a strong leader that will make the right choices for our community based on ethics, fiscal responsibility, and doing the right thing for the right reasons.

What the district needs: A board of director who has strong business acumen that understands what it takes to collaborate with all stakeholders, and identify home and property owners. Someone with the ability to make decision that helps create one of the most successful healthcare district models in all California.

Everyone realizes that health Provider is critical to our communities and respects that they are most often our health and saving lives. Our community deserves solutions that keep the most qualified health Provider, emergency response personnel, and administrators, while also finding creative solutions to not cutting services, equipment or support staff.

Getting the “truth and facts” to policy makers and residents is crucial and the first step in helping make the right decisions for the right reasons. Trust is essential for gaining community support for the future. Community trust is built from sound decisions making, NOT decisions made by relying upon biased personal opinions or special interest groups.

Therefore, board decisions and district policies must be made by looking at the district needs in terms of a “whole systems approach” creating solutions together as a whole, not as separate interest components. When we look at the common goal, the goal should be nothing less than everyone striving to have safer communities with adequate services that the public can rely on at any point in time. EVERYTHING is secondary to public needs and trust!

Don’t wake up one morning and realize you been duped in believing misinformation.
Elect someone strong that you can trust and depend on to make the right decisions.

What the district will get by voting for me is:
A business entrepreneur who is experienced in running healthcare businesses in economical hard times, making employee payroll, keeping the lights on while satisfying customers, and the day to day operations of healthcare business decision making.

Elect someone who:
* Is a highly qualified community leader dedicated community planner and volunteer
* Is an experienced decision maker who is fair, unbiased, and pays attention to details that matter
* Is open-minded with the ability to bring people together to solve critical problems
* Can bring practical solutions to difficult problems during difficult times

Experience: During my quest for this board position, as a community volunteer, working with service associations, and serving on economic development projects, I have spoken with health Provider, nurse, district staff, and countless community leaders voicing their concerns about the infrastructure of our emergency systems.

Albeit, we have many of the greatest health Provider in the world and some of the best emergency systems in the nation, we need to make tough decisions during these tough times to improve the protection of our family, and communities in the future. Finding win-win solutions through collaboration to help mitigate labor and management uncertainties from miscommunication and misgivings is essential to move forward.

I promise to continue listening to all those who are save our life and management responsible for the safety of our residents and communities.

I promise to be fair, transparent, and to make informed practical and unbiased decisions, while striving to find solutions that overcome funding gaps caused by recessionary difficulties.

I have listened too many of your concerns from all sides of the health Provider community relating to overtime and administrative costs, lower funding sources from decreased property taxes, critical problems facing other organizations today. Face it, these are NOT new challenges, but it is a different world which requires sacrifices, innovative and forward thinking.

Voters do you want a health board that sit at opposite sides of the table wasting precious time rehashing old problems or do you want someone new who can become a part of the success by helping make significant contributions for safer communities tomorrow working together? If so, please cast your ballot for me with confidence.

In closing, thank you for the honor and privilege of serving you and the district as a Board of Director for Grossmont Healthcare District, as well as allowing me to represent you, your family, your business, and communities we live.

Thank You For Your Help & Support
